HORTON MILL COVERED BRIDGE
Where: Oneonta in Blount County
When Built: 1934
GPS Coordinates: 34°00′27.52″ N, 86°26′55.05″W
At 70 feet above the water, this bridge is the highest covered bridge over any U.S. waterway. One of Blount County’s three covered bridges restored and re-opened to traffic this year, this 220-foot-long bridge was originally suspended over the Calvert Prong in the Warrior River.
